Louisiana Family Forum is at it again….

Have you see what the Louisiana Family Forum sent out? Their latest “60-Second Brigade Assignment” is to have their followers tell the House & Governmental Affairs Committee to vote against the Louisiana Fair Employment Act (HB 85). Why?

“HB 85 by Rep. Badon forbids discretion in employment hiring and firing by the state of Louisiana based on homosexual behavior or transgenderism. By definition, this bill would require a state agency, which services children, to hire homosexual, bisexual and transgendered persons. This bill would prohibit the state of Louisiana from disciplining an employee based on cross-dressing while in state employment. HB 85 will create a target-rich environment for lawsuits.”

Without going into a tirade of how horrible and archaic this statement is, let’s take this time to educate and communicate with the legislators why the Louisiana Fair Employment Act is necessary and vital for the well-being of the LGBT community and Louisiana as a whole. Let those in Baton Rouge know what is GOOD and what is BAD for Louisiana! These bills will be heard in committee this week, so take action now! TAKE ACTION here!
