Forum For Equality’s Acclaim Awards Gala – Saturday, September 24th

The Forum For Equality’s Acclaim Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, September 24th at the JW Marriott Hotel in New Orleans. This will be a night of gourmet food, libations and music to celebrate what they have accomplished and to honor those who have worked for the betterment of all people in Louisiana, and most importantly our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. They will recognize leadership in the following categories: Arts & Entertainment, Media, Health, Political Activism, Political Leadership, and the Chair’s award.

The submission date is next Friday by 5:00PM for nominations for Acclaim Awards. Please forward your nominations to Sarah Jane Brady who will be submitting them for review by the nominations committee. Please submit the individual or organizations along with a short paragraph of their contributions. The areas include Arts and Entertainment; Community Health; Media; Political Leadership and Political Activism.

Also, we need Table Captains! Please let Sarah Jane Brady know if you will volunteer to be a table captain — all you do is find 10 people to join you for the Acclaim Awards. In years past people have teamed up to fill a table — a buddy system if you will — find a partner and split the job!
