Miss Representation Film Screening and Discussion on Sept 24th!

miss repJoin us on Tuesday, September 24th at Tulane University’s Freeman Auditorium in the Woldenberg Arts Center  to watch Miss Representation and engage in a discussion.

The Miss Representation film explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women has led to the under representation of women in positions of power and influence.

Following the film will be a discussion with women leaders in the community who will speak on their experiences as well as ways to help nurture future women leaders.

Moderator is Iman Shervington, Director of Media and Social Marketing for the Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies
Panelists are:
Stephanie Grace, columnist with The New Orleans Advocate
Deon Haywood, Executive Director with Women With a Vision
Kelder Summers, radio personality with 106.7
Latoya Cantrell, New Orleans City Council
