Are you engaged?

Forum for Equality’s Marriage Equality Committee is working to address the vast inequities that harm same-sex married couples here in Louisiana. As we continue to explore possible litigation to establish marriage equality here in Louisiana, we need your help in identifying witnesses who can help us prove that LGBT married couples are treated unfairly here in our home state of Louisiana.

  • If you are a couple that married while living in a marriage-equality state, but you are now living in Louisiana, where your marriage is ignored and discounted, Forum for Equality Louisiana wants to hear from you.

  • If you are, or know of a couple where one or both spouses are state government employees or a member of the armed services of the United States, Forum for Equality Louisiana wants to hear about it.

Marriage is a basic freedom that should not be denied to anyone. Join Forum for Equality as we take on the hardest challenge; talk with your family and friends, engage your place of worship to discuss the values of love and commitment of all couples, contact us with your experiences and be part of our success!

Together, we can win!
