We’re All About To Get Engaged

we are engaged

The next step to equality in Louisiana is now.

Forum for Equality Louisiana has filed a lawsuit along with four Louisiana couples to force recognition of their legal out-of-state marriages. This bold step is part of a national movement and will move Louisiana toward marriage equality in a strategic and realistic way — one that could afford Louisiana’s same-sex couples critical rights in the immediate future.

The suit has been filed. The battle for equality has begun. But now we need leaders in Louisiana’s LGBTQ community and advocates for equality to help cover expenses related to this suit…and push our state toward full equality.

There are significant expenses that must be covered now. That’s why we need your help. We are reaching out to a select group of leaders and influencers to help us launch the “We’re Engaged” movement to raise funds and awareness for marriage equality efforts in Louisiana. Visit www.WeAreEngagedLA.com to explore opportunities to get involved and the benefits of getting engaged today.

Become a supporter now and get tickets to the Engagement Party on April 16th (hosted by Henry Lambert & Carey Bond), and VIP tickets to Chita Rivera’s show at Le Petit Theatre on April 19th including a meet and greet with Chita after the 8:30 pm show.

About Forum For Equality

The Forum For Equality is a statewide human rights organization dedicated to the establishment of a society free from discrimination and to the support of good government. We believe that the fastest and most efficient way to achieve these goals is to educate our communities and to constructively participate in the political process.
