Thank you, Mayor Tyler

THANKyou_TYLERJoining other leaders in Louisiana, on Wednesday, Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler responded to the problematic executive order signed by Governor Bobby Jindal in response to his defeat in the legislature.

Mayor Tyler said, “We want to be very clear to the rest of the country that Shreveport welcomes all individuals. Our City has been the torchbearer for inclusion with the adoption of our Fairness Ordinance. We will continue to welcome all visitors, businesses and embrace all our citizens.”

Forum for Equality sincerely thanks Mayor Tyler for standing up for fairness in Louisiana. We ask you to please do the same. Click here to send your thanks for standing up to the Governor and leading the cities of Louisiana toward greater protections against discrimination.

We worked hard with our allies in Shreveport to pass the Fairness Ordinance and we’re already seeing positive results. Please consider investing in the continuing efforts of the Forum for Equality as we continue to push for passage of non-discrimination protections in Louisiana.

With Equality,

Mary Griggs
Chair, Forum for Equality
